Meeting of Parliamentary Party Clubs with CEC Members on Amendments to the Election Law

(Patria) - A meeting of the presidents of the clubs in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly will be held today to discuss the proposed amendments to the Election Law of BiH.

The SDA Club has submitted amendments to the Election Law of BiH for urgent procedure, and the session will be held on Friday, December 29.

The President of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, told BHRT that the representatives of that party, including the trojka, are ready.

"We have been advocating for this for a long time. At one meeting in the previous period, perhaps even a year ago, at the OHR, all political parties from the Federation signed an agreement on these technical amendments. Therefore, I believe that the prerequisites exist for us to adopt them and have them. Of course, I also consider what the High Representative stated as positive pressure on domestic representatives, domestic political parties, domestic political forces, I would say that we should adopt this law, rather than having it imposed by the High Representative," said Nikšić.
