(Patria) - HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović announced a meeting of state coalition representatives in Sarajevo today at 2 PM to discuss the 2024 Budget.
He stated that they will try to put as many items on the agenda as possible.
“I think we will have enough people from these three parties who can make decisions, so that the Council of Ministers of BiH can unanimously adopt the budget, that it can be finalized on Friday at the Council of Ministers of BiH and sent to Parliament,” Čović said.
Regarding the Election Law, Čović stated that he will open negotiations on all segments previously discussed, not just technical amendments. Čović opposed the amendments to the Election Law announced by Schmidt.
He left open the possibility of changing the election law next year, despite it being an election year.
“If we have a government that we say is functioning, why would someone make any legal solutions on our behalf, these solutions are up to us. We encourage colleagues to sit down and not leave until all these issues and the credibility of the election process are on the agenda,” Čović said.
