Meeting between Bakalar and Field: Support for the CEC's efforts to improve the electoral system

The President of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Željko Bakalar, met today at the headquarters of the Central Election Commission of BiH in Sarajevo with H.E. Matthew Field, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to BiH.

President Bakalar informed Ambassador Field about the key elements of the Initiative for the Adoption of the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH, which was sent to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH on 16.09.2021. The meeting expressed support for the efforts of the Central Election Commission of BiH and the dedicated engagement of this institution in improving the electoral system and electoral legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
The meeting was also attended by Helen Flewker, First Secretary for Political Affairs at the British Embassy in Sarajevo, and political advisor Amra Salkić.
