Saša Dalipagić visited the construction site of the Sava bridge near Svilaj

ODŽAK, (Patria) - Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Saša Dalipagić attended the ceremonial session of the Municipal Council in Odžak on the occasion of marking the day of the municipality of Odžak, which was attended by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, numerous officials from all levels of government from BiH and neighboring Republic of Croatia, as well as representatives of religious communities, associations, and businessmen.

Dalipagić took the opportunity of his visit to the municipality of Odžak to tour the construction site of the interstate bridge over the Sava River in Svilaj between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia. The site manager, Ivana Karačić, informed the Deputy Minister about the current status of the works, emphasizing that the works are proceeding according to the planned schedule.

The delivery of steel parts from Italy is currently underway, and the assembly of steel structure parts is expected to begin in early March. More intensive work on the bridge is expected in early May, depending on weather conditions and water levels, when the remaining works in the riverbed should be completed.

Dalipagić expressed satisfaction that the bridge construction is progressing according to the planned dynamics, despite the fact that the construction process has been burdened by various unfavorable circumstances on several occasions.

He reminded that this bridge is the most significant infrastructure project in the region, not only due to its dimensions but also because it is a link that connects Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Republic of Croatia, i.e., the European Union, on the international Corridor Vc.

The fact that this infrastructure facility is at the completion of Corridor Vc, which is the priority of all priorities in the road infrastructure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, further enhances its importance, as it connects Bosnia and Herzegovina with Europe, which is ultimately the commitment of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
