Šarović threatens Dodik: You're finished before the elections, we'll bring you down!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - We estimate that the internal cohesion within the ruling parties is weak and that there are many dissatisfied, not only among those turncoats from the opposition, but also among the permanent partners of the Socialist Party, DEMOS, Selak's Socialist Party... We estimate that this is the best opportunity for a change of the current government and I think that 42 MPs for the opposition are achievable. This is possible in 2021, stated Mirko Šarović, president of SDS, as announced by the party.

“I base this claim on the fact that the government in Republika Srpska no longer has such strong support from MPs and that this two-thirds majority is crumbling. The influence of the current government in society is weakening, and their cohesion is weakening. There is a lot of dissatisfaction, and certain things will clearly happen in the next few months,” said Šarović.

Šarović said that a majority in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will be formed with the help of parties from the government, with whom he is negotiating.

“There have certainly been negotiations. We would not enter into any process on this matter without having potentially talked to potential partners who are currently in power. We have no way to reach those 42 MPs if we don't talk to those who would leave the current government. Now is the most mature situation for something like that,” claims Šarović.

He stated that they are on the verge of an agreement with some parties from the government, not just individuals.

“What I am talking about refers to talks with political parties. We are having talks with them,” said Šarović.

He said that SNSD will be weakest in 2022.

“Their stocks are rapidly falling from month to month, and many things are not going their way. They were carefree, and now they are dealing with themselves. There are real wars among them. The turncoats are under attack. The leader of SNSD is in constant trouble and has made a series of mistakes recently,” said Šarović.

Šarović said that one of Dodik's “mistakes was the attempt to overthrow Vučić and presented his findings on that topic.”

“Dodik overestimated his strength. Perhaps this smoldered and contributed to the trust not being at its highest level, and that is my personal impression. There is speculation that he perhaps spread his influence too much and started to act independently and make his own combinations when it comes to the election of the patriarch, which in my opinion is something he should not have done,” said Šarović.
