Šarović told Dodik: You are an election thief

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The memorandum between the BiH Central Election Commission and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) for the authorities in RS represents interference in the electoral process, which is why the BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik initiated vital national interest in the National Assembly of RS on this issue.

Here is what Šarović said in the NSRS: "For the opposition, this is just an indicator that Dodik and SNSD fear fair elections and that cooperation with this organization has nothing to do with endangering national elections, but rather with strengthening the prerequisites for fair elections," Banjaluka media report.

A special session will be held today, and the president of SDS, Mirko Šarović, addressed journalists in the National Assembly, who claims that this party will not support Dodik in his endeavor to present the cooperation between the CEC and IFES as a threat to vital national interest.

"We will not support the initiation of vital national interest. Those who want fair elections do not initiate vital national interests on this issue. Those who want to continue stealing do," said Šarović.

According to him, this election monitoring organization has been present for 20 years, and Milorad Dodik himself cooperated with them.

"It is an international organization that operates in 140 countries. They provide technical assistance at the request of domestic institutions. This is an excellent opportunity to reduce election theft, and the key actors of election theft are SNSD and its satellites," said Šarović, trying to explain why Dodik and SNSD are so insistent on banning cooperation with this American organization.
