Šarović: BiH's interest must be the priority

(Patria) - First and foremost, we need to see what BiH's interest is and try to profile and express that interest. That is something we should all strive for, stated the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović to journalists today in Sarajevo, when asked to comment on the start of the construction of the Pelješac Bridge in the Bay of Mali Ston, which will restrict Bosnia and Herzegovina's access to international waters.

"I consider it very important that the issue of the Pelješac Bridge construction is resolved at the same time, I have no problem with that, but on the other hand, it is entirely legitimate for this country to seek a solution for access to the open sea," said Šarović, adding that the Presidency of BiH, which is responsible for creating foreign policy, should first state what BiH's interest is in this matter, and then the Council of Ministers should provide concrete solutions.

- I think it is best to resolve this as a package - believes Šarović, reports Patria agency.
