Šarović and Ramljak: Agrokor's operations in BiH stabilized, jobs no longer threatened

A fourth meeting on Agrokor's operations in BiH was held in Sarajevo today, attended by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović, Federal Minister of Trade Zlatan Vujanović, Minister of Trade and Tourism of RS Predrag Gluhaković, and the Croatian government's commissioner for Agrokor Ante Ramljak with his associates, reports Patria agency.

Agrokor concern companies in BiH employ around 5,000 workers, and Velpro is in liquidation proceedings. The now former employees have been provided for in various ways. 

Minister Šarović stated that while there are certain things that are not ideal, there are visible improvements and the situation in Agrokor and its companies is stable.

- We were most interested in the issue of employed workers and the consolidation of Ledo and Sarajevski kiseljak, to see where these companies in BiH stand in the coming months - said Šarović.

Ramljak stated in his address that it can be said that they have stabilized operations in BiH.

- We have started implementing the plan for Mercator to return to BiH and take over its stores, which means we will recapitalize the operations with fresh money from Agrokor, and this means calming the situation with suppliers who will certainly collect their claims. Our customers, whom we thank, will continue to have the desired goods in our stores, and our employees will not and should not fear for their jobs - said Ramljak.
