Šarović and Borenović after meeting with Escobar: Preserve Dayton in a reasonable manner, and thus the RS

(Patria) - Mirko Šarović, president of the SDS, addressed the media after a meeting with US envoy Gabriel Escobar.

“There are things that require dialogue, some decisions that are so important and have caused great dissatisfaction in the RS, such as the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH. We need normal policies, we do not need those who stir up passions and lead us into a dangerous situation. Peace is the only atmosphere in which the RS can progress. We believe that one of the key instigators is Dodik, who also met with Escobar. It is completely clear that as a politician, the High Representative and the Bonn Powers suited him, and now he is telling a different story. He wants to use the crisis for personal purposes.

The legitimate demands of the RS, and there are such, should be resolved through dialogue. Unilateral decisions are very dangerous and can lead us astray. Dayton has no alternative. We advocate for normal policies.
Any reckless action, a policy that would jeopardize peace, is completely unacceptable to us,” said Šarović.

The leader of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP), Branislav Borenović, said at the press conference that the very fact of where the meeting was held speaks volumes.

“The very fact that we talked today in Banja Luka is proof that the Republika Srpska is an eternal reality,” he stated.

He added that Dayton must be preserved in a reasonable manner, and thus the RS.

“Any reckless action that would endanger the RS is out of the question,” he stated.

He concluded that “we” need responsible politicians, that numerous scandals in this country should be brought into focus, and that those responsible for them should start being punished.
