Sarajevo residents spend Saturday at Wilson's Promenade

Numerous Sarajevo residents decided to spend the first day of the weekend at Wilson's Promenade, walking, rollerblading, cycling, running, or sitting on one of the benches along the Miljacka River, writes the BH News Agency Patria (NAP).

Sunny weather, with a midday temperature of 11 degrees Celsius, lured visitors to this weekend oasis of peace. Wilson's Promenade is about 3.5 km long, and traffic is prohibited on weekends. This is an ideal place to escape the city bustle, a sentiment shared by visitors.

- Many people come on weekends. They are still enjoying the nice weather and don't have to go far from home to relax - said a popcorn vendor to NAP.

Wilson's Promenade is also equipped with fitness equipment, most often used by the older population. If you get tired of walking, you can rent a bicycle.

- I often come here with my granddaughters on weekdays too. I don't have the opportunity to take them to Vrelo Bosne, but we have a good time here as well - said an elderly Sarajevo resident.
