Sarajevo Stands with Gaza: Even Six Months Later, the Entire So-Called Democratic World Continues to Sleep

(Patria) - A one-hour peaceful protest was held today on the plateau opposite Sarajevo City Hall in support and solidarity with the residents of Gaza.

Citizens carried Palestinian and BiH flags, and banners, one of which read "The EU supports genocide to profit from arms trade".

Organizers stated from the podium that the violence and systematic destruction of the Palestinian state can be called nothing other than genocide.

- The issue of Palestine is also an issue for Muslims and the Ummah. We must not observe aggression during Ramadan. This is also an issue for other faiths - they said.

They emphasize that Palestinians are not terrorists, but people fighting for their basic human rights - the right to freedom, dignity, and justice.

- After six months, the aggression continues, after killing more than 35,000, injuring more than 80,000, and displacing more than two million Palestinians - the entire so-called modern and democratic world is still asleep.

And at the same time, they provide unlimited support to the Israeli criminal Netanyahu in his personal war against the Palestinian people - said the organizers.

The protest was attended by the Ambassador of Palestine to BiH, Rezeq Namoora, and representatives expressed solidarity with the residents of Palestine and Gaza who are facing difficult situations and human rights violations.

"The gathering aims to raise awareness about the injustice and violence to which Palestinians and residents of Gaza are exposed, and to demand respect for their basic rights to a peaceful life, freedom, and justice," said the organizers.
