Sarajevo residents face water restrictions, while due to faults, drinking water flows down the streets in hectoliters!

Due to summer heat, record water consumption has been recorded in recent days across the entire Sarajevo Canton. Over the weekend, consumption increased by up to 40 percent in some zones, and the Sarajevo municipal company Water Supply and Sewerage (VIK) claims that water levels in reservoirs are constantly dropping, reports the Patria news agency.

Because of this, they are forced to reduce pressure at night to ensure sufficient water supplies, and most Sarajevo residents have no water during the night. However, no one cares about the many faults across Sarajevo where large amounts of water are leaking, precisely when it is most needed.

An example of this is in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Vojničko polje, where large amounts of water are leaking in basements and streets, and the faults have been ongoing for months.
