He is just over 30 years old, but has already managed to become one of the best chiropractors in Europe.
Dr. Kenan Mulahusić, a native of Sarajevo, unfortunately has not lived in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina for several years - he moved his practice to Sweden, but he says he has not forgotten Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is particularly fond of the national football team. He follows them at every match. During the time of Miroslav Ćiro Blažević, from 2008 to 2009, he even worked as a chiropractor for the Dragons, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
- The national team is something that most of us living outside the country live for. It is simply something that connects us with Bosnia and Herzegovina - says Mulahusić for NAP.
Founded in 1895 in the United States, chiropractic is now widespread in more than 100 countries worldwide. In some countries, it has the status of a separate profession, as in the USA, while in others it is part of official medical practice (e.g., in Germany).
Apart from their own hands, chiropractors do not use any additional medications or surgery to heal pain. However, to succeed in this, they must possess extensive medical knowledge and a lot of practice.
Mulahusić was named one of the top ten graduates at the Scandinavian College of Chiropractic University in Stockholm - a prestigious chiropractic program in the world. He also gained fame as a chiropractor for the Swedish football first division club Hammarby IF. He completed his specialization at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm.
In treatment, chiropractors focus on the spine, i.e., correcting vertebrae and the nervous system. Namely, they will say that a large number of nerves emerge between the vertebrae, which are connected to most organs in the human body and also control the arms and legs. When a vertebra is displaced from its normal position, pressure is exerted on the nerve exiting at that level, the nerve then loses function, and consequently the organ connected to that nerve. Even the slightest pressure on a nerve is enough for it to lose most of its function.
In America, Australia, and Canada, chiropractic is the third most developed healthcare profession, right after medicine and dentistry, and with its help it is possible to treat headaches, neck pain, back pain, dizziness, tingling in the arms and legs, poor circulation, as well as many other problems.
- Therapies are painless. Within seven days we can eliminate mild ailments of the spine, neck, joints, or muscles. More severe and chronic ailments are eliminated within a few weeks - explains Mulahusić for NAP.
- Unfortunately, a big problem for Bosnians and Herzegovinians is that they visit doctors only when they feel pain, they rarely go for preventive check-ups and engage very little in sports. But that is not good; the body must be maintained, it must be in shape, and then there is less likelihood that some disease will develop in the body - says Mulahusić.
The word chiropractic comes from the Greek word meaning „treated by hand”. It originated in the United States at the end of the 19th century, and Dr. Daniel David Palmer is considered the founder of chiropractic, writes Patria.
