Sarajlić entered politics as a tenant, then earned a luxury apartment and a new car

Asim Sarajlić, a candidate for the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the October 12 elections, said that the people cannot be represented by those who have acquired „towers and villas and planes and trucks and ships...“ in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

In an emotional speech at the pre-election rally of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) yesterday in Ilijaš, Sarajlić, who is also one of the vice-presidents of this party, called on citizens to give their vote to the SDA in the upcoming elections, while accusing members of other political parties of enormous enrichment, even though the country is in a severe economic crisis.

However, analysts who have examined the asset declarations of politicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina did not omit Sarajlić from the list of those who have enriched themselves at the expense of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His assets have increased by several hundred thousand marks in the last ten years, reports Patria.

According to data from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2004 Sarajlić could declare income of barely 8,000 KM in his asset declaration as a politician, and shares in the „Bonus“ Fund worth 21,412 KM.

Sarajlić's asset declaration then suddenly grew to nearly 300,000 KM, and analysts warn that this wealth could be even larger, as it is highly likely that Sarajlić did not declare all the assets he owns.

According to data from the asset declaration filled out by Sarajlić himself, in 2004 he did not own an apartment, a car, or any savings. Ten years later, he declared that he owns a 130 m2 apartment in Vogošća, valued at 195,000 KM, drives a „Toyota Yaris“ that is only a few months old, and has 13,025 KM in savings in a current account at Sparkasse BiH bank, reports Patria.
