Sarajevo woman Emina makes unique bags

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Sarajevo woman Emina Hasanbegović has used her creativity for additional profit. She makes unique items, supplementing her household budget.

Her profession is sanitary-ecological technician, but she is unemployed in her field.

While waiting for a job, she didn't give in to boredom but started knitting and promoting her products through social networks. Her grandmother taught her to knit as a child, and today, thanks to that, she makes unique bags, hats, scarves, and baskets.

- Unfortunately, people don't appreciate handmade work enough, so one cannot live solely from it, but it certainly helps me – states Hasanbegović.

Emina, whose products you can view on the Facebook page Handmade by Lilly , is a proud mother of two daughters, and despite all her obligations, she manages to find time for creative work and tries to build a recognizable brand in the BiH market called "Handmade by Lilly".

- I am trying to develop my hobby into a profession that, besides spiritual satisfaction, would also start bringing me financial benefits – says Emina.

She doesn't lack ideas for making unique bags and backpacks, and she often works according to customer requests, who bring photos of what they would like to have.

- I must admit that social networks make my job much easier, because satisfied customers 'share' my work, and people get in touch. Besides women, I also receive orders from men who want to surprise their better halves – says Hasanbegović.

She often faces problems with materials for work, but she overcomes these obstacles and can improvise with certain materials. Her products are characterized by a unique look and quality.

- I know that young people are leaving, that there are no jobs, I understand them. But, I think we have to fight too, because this is our country and there is nothing more beautiful anywhere – emphasizes Emina.
