Sarajevo Half Marathon: Winners Kipruto and Jevtić

The eighth Sarajevo Half Marathon once again attracted a large number of running enthusiasts, with around 1,300 participants from thirty countries running 21.1 km, and a recreational race “Fun run” of 4 km was also held concurrently, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The largest number of participants, as stated by the organizers, are from Serbia and Croatia, but also from other European countries. Participants from BiH included students from the French School, as well as running clubs.

Mirsad Vilić, Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, also started from the starting line. Besides its sporting character, the Sarajevo Half Marathon is also a kind of tourist attraction.

The race took place on the streets: Maršala Tita, Alipašina, Patritske lige to Pionirska dolina, and in the direction of Marijin Dvor, Vrbanja, Wilson's Promenade, streets Hiseta, Obala Kulina bana, Bentbaša, Aleja ambasadora, to the bridge Kozja ćuprija, and streets Telali, Mula Mustafe Bašeskije, Maršala Tita to the BB center from where they started, reports Patria.

The winners of the 8th Sarajevo Half Marathon are Kenyan Stanly Kipruto and Serbian Olivera Jevtić. In the recreational race, the winners were: Selma Zrnić, Katarina Lemez, and Rahima Zukić. In the men's competition, Osman Junuzović, Saša Stojić, and Mirko Perković.
