Sarajevo police seize two cars, drivers owe 80,000 KM in fines!

(Patria) - Sarajevo police seized two cars on November 16 and 17.

On 16.11.2025 at 9:15 PM at the intersection of Safeta Zajke and Enesa Herić streets, Novi Grad municipality, police officers of the Novi Grad Police Department stopped and inspected a passenger motor vehicle "Alfa Romeo", driven by R.S., born in 2000 in Sarajevo, residing in Ilidža.

Checks revealed that the said individual is a repeat offender in traffic violations, drives a motor vehicle before acquiring the right to drive, and the vehicle's registration has expired. In the register of monetary fines and violation records, there is a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 51,698.15 KM.

The vehicle in question was temporarily confiscated from the offender, and a Request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for committed violations of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

The next day, at 9:40 PM on Put za lovačku kuću street, Hadžići municipality, police officers of the Hadžići and Trnovo Police Departments stopped and inspected a passenger motor vehicle "Renault Clio", with non-assigned license plates, driven by A.A., born in 2001, residing in Hadžići.

Checks revealed that the 24-year-old is a repeat offender in traffic violations and drives a vehicle before acquiring the right to drive.

In the register of monetary fines and violation records, there is a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 28,535.00 KM. The vehicle in question was temporarily confiscated from the offender, and a Request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for committed violations of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.
