Sarajevo's picnic spots full of visitors, traffic jams towards southern BiH continue

(Patria) - Sarajevo's picnic spots are full of visitors today on the occasion of May 1st - International Workers' Day, which is celebrated on May 1st and 2nd. While some decided to go to warmer regions due to the long weekend, those returning to their obligations tomorrow used the day off to spend time in nature, barbecue, and socialize with family and friends.

Columns of cars were recorded today towards the surrounding mountains of Trebević, Igman, Bjelašnica, Jahorina, while picnic spots around Sarajevo are also full of excursionists. There are also traffic jams towards Mostar and border crossings.

"Traffic of vehicles towards the south of our country is increased, as well as at most border crossings. The Sarajevo-Mostar road is particularly busy, with long queues and waiting times recorded.

Increased vehicle traffic is observed at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Bijača, Doljani, Gabela Polje, Crveni Grm, Gorica, Osoje, Kamensko, Aržano, Prisika, Hum, and Gradiška. Long delays are expected at the entrance to our country at the border crossings: Izačić, Gradina, and Brod. At other border crossings, delays do not exceed 30 minutes. Due to bridge damage, the Brčko border crossing can only be used by pedestrians," announced BIHAMK.

Stojčevac, Vrelo Bosne, and Rimski most attracted lovers of barbecue and nature today.

A large number of citizens decided to visit Trebević today, considering that the return ticket for BiH citizens is 4 KM. The Trebević cable car operates until 7 PM.
