Sarajevo's Ferhadija a few hours before New Year's Eve

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Sarajevo Canton is hosting a large number of tourists who came to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina to spend the New Year's holidays and will enter the New Year with entertainment and concerts that have been prepared for Sarajevans and tourists on this occasion.

 

Hotel accommodation in the capital of BiH is fully booked, as are other accommodation facilities.

A large number of tourists are visible on the streets, and the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board points out that there are more tourists than last year, so it is expected that Sarajevo will justify the slogan under which the New Year's content was promoted, which is "Sarajevo, the center of the region".

A spectacle is expected tonight in front of the Eternal Flame, where Hari Varešanović will perform. The New Year's celebration continues on January 1, 2019, when Bombaj štampa will hold a concert, also in front of the Eternal Flame.

According to official statistical data available to the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board, in the first 11 months of this year, Sarajevo was visited by more than half a million tourists, and more than 1.1 million overnight stays were realized.
