Today, thanks to the intervention of the police and emergency services, an elderly woman who intended to jump from a building was rescued in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Bjelave, reports the Patria news agency.
The drama unfolded at 41 Zaima Šarca Street. The unfortunate woman's neighbors heard a commotion and saw the woman standing at a window, threatening to jump.
They called the police and an emergency medical team, who managed to talk the woman out of committing suicide.
Afterward, she was transported to the Psychiatric Clinic of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS).
