Sarajevo: Car stolen using a tow truck

Č.S. reported the theft of a Nissan motor vehicle parked in Nerkeza Smailagića street to the Sarajevo police last night. The owner stated that the vehicle was stolen between 8 PM and 9:30 PM, writes Patria.

Police officers found a parked "tow" truck in Adija Mulabegovića street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, at 11:15 PM. The stolen motor vehicle was on its cargo area, and two unknown individuals were standing next to it, attempting to flee. Police officers prevented them from doing so.

Checks revealed that the individuals were Č.N., born in 1994 in Sarajevo, and L.S., born in 1964 in Sarajevo, where they reside.

Due to grounds for suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 287 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Grand Theft), Č.N. and L.S. were deprived of their liberty and handed over to the Detention Unit for Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed of the incident. The special vehicle with the stolen car was transported to the parking lot in front of the III Police Station. Work continues on shedding light on and documenting the criminal activities of the mentioned individuals.
