Sarajevo Tower connected to the district heating system of Toplane Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Based on the request of the investor "Ans Drive" d.o.o. Sarajevo for connecting the newly constructed Sarajevo Tower building, in Kolodvorska Street, to the district heating system of Toplane, and following a previously conducted analysis of the connection feasibility and a developed conceptual solution, Toplane carried out all necessary works so that Sarajevo Tower would be heated via the Živko Jošilo boiler room system starting from the next heating season.

According to project coordinators Anesa Librić - Tomić and Milada Šimić, the construction of a completely new hot water pipeline with a route length of 400 meters, which began in November 2019, i.e., after signing the contract and obtaining all necessary approvals from relevant institutions, lasted three months. The construction of the new hot water pipeline was preceded by activities on preparing complete tender documentation for necessary procurements and developing the detailed mechanical and civil engineering design of the hot water pipeline.

With the implementation of this project, everything is ready for connecting the facility with an engaged capacity of 2300 kW and 495 residential units to the central heating system of Toplane.

All activities carried out within the implementation of this significant project for the construction of the connection hot water pipeline for the Sarajevo Tower facility, such as engineering and design works, supervision of
works execution, as well as equipment procurement and mechanical works execution, were successfully completed using Toplane's own capacities.
