Sarajevo Summer Cup won by Nermin Šabić's "Tempo Sport"

The children's football tournament Sarajevo Summer Cup 2014 concluded after four days at the Otoka Stadium in Sarajevo. 130 matches were played, and 1,100 children aged 8 to 12 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Kosovo participated in the tournament, reports the Patria News Agency.

In the end, the most successful team was Tempo Sport from Zenica, a football school owned by former BiH national team player Nermin Šabić. They won first place in two out of five age groups (2004 and 2005). Željezničar (2002), Novi Grad (2003), and Biser (2006) also secured first place. Medals also went to Croatia, as HNK Marsonia from Slavonski Brod reached second place in the 2003 age group, while HNK Mosor from Split took third place in the 2005 age group.

Children from Serbia, the Niš Red Star team, were close to this success, winning fourth place in the 2003 age group.

Best by age groups 2002: 1. Željezničar, 2. Ilijaš, 3. Šampion Ilidža, 4. Olimp. Best Goalkeeper: Nikola Milićević (Željezničar), Top Scorer: Petar Blagojević (Olimp), Most Valuable Player: Ajdin Jusupović (Šampion I); Best Player: Faruk Duraković (Željezničar).

2003: 1. Novi Grad, 2. Marsonia, 3. Osmica, 4. Red Star. Best Goalkeeper: Muhamed Šahinović (Novi G.), Top Scorer: Ivan Didović (Marsonia), Most Valuable Player: Faruk Hodžić (Osmica), Best Player: Ivan Grgić (Novi G.).

2004: 1. Tempo Sport, 2. Olimp, 3. Željezničar, 4. Tempo. Best Goalkeeper: Eman Brka (Tempo S.), Top Scorer: Hamza Jaganjac (Željezničar), Most Valuable Player: Strahinja Pekić (Olimp), Best Player: Adin Begić (Tempo S.).

2005: 1. Tempo Sport, 2. Novi Grad, 3. Mosor, 4. Tango. Best Goalkeeper: Almir Hadžić (Tempo S.), Top Scorer: Aldin Efendić (Novi Grad), Most Valuable Player: Dino Kegalj (Mosor), Best Player: Enis Šabić (Tempo S.).

2006: 1. Biser, 2. Novi Grad, 3. Dar, 4. Sutjeska. Best Goalkeeper: Alden Čustović (Biser), Top Scorer: Anes Oglečevac (Biser), Most Valuable Player: Nihad Barimac (Dar), Best Player: Danin Hasanić (Novi G.).
