Sarajevo: Traffic opened in two lanes on Hiseta Street

After traffic on Hiseta Street was blocked for more than 24 hours, two lanes were opened for traffic around 6:30 PM, confirmed for Patria agency from the Operational Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

- The far-left lane (tram track) and the lane next to it are not in use - stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. 

We remind you that after a horrific accident on Hiseta Street 11 on Wednesday afternoon, when concrete with a metal structure collapsed, killing two workers and seriously injuring one, traffic was suspended, and the tram contact network was severed.

The investigation was completed in the early morning hours of Thursday, but traffic remained obstructed. It is not yet known when the other two lanes will be opened for traffic and when trams might start operating.
