Sarajevo again without water, VIK asks for patience

As announced on the Facebook page of KJKP Vodovod i kanalizacija Sarajevo, the disruption in water supply occurred due to problems with the power supply to the Bačevo water source, which, they say, will cause disruptions in water supply in a large part of Sarajevo Canton.

- KJKP ViK and Elektrodistribucija teams are working urgently to fix the fault, and normalization is expected during the day - the Facebook page states.

Once again, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is without water, but this time it was unannounced, which caused public outrage, with citizens expressing their dissatisfaction on social networks.

Early this morning at 5 AM, due to EP BiH works, a 10 kW transformer tripped in Blažuj, lasting 70 minutes. As a result of this interruption, water production and distribution from the entire Bačevo water source were stopped.

Water supply on the Alipašin most and Igman routes has been restored, while the Mojmilo route is operating at 50% capacity.

Due to the lack of water from this source, there is still a disruption in water supply in the following settlements: Dobrinja, Aerodromsko naselje, Saraj polje, Alipašino polje, Nedžarići, Rajlovac, Halilovići, Čengić Vila, Otoka, Aneks, Dolac Malta, Grbavica, Marijin Dvor, Skenderija, Baščaršija, Bistrik, Hambina Carina, Pogledine, Soukbunar, Cicin Han.

Elektrodistribucija and VIK teams are on site and working urgently to fix the fault.
