Sarajevo most polluted again this morning, residents of Tuzla, Zenica struggle to breathe...

(Patria) - According to AirVisual data, Sarajevo is the most polluted capital city in the world this January morning. Alongside Sarajevo, in Tuzla, Zenica, Lukavac, Ilijaš and Visoko, air pollution is so high that serious consequences for the entire population are possible.

The air quality index measured at 8 a.m. this morning was 426. Second place on the list went to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh (231), while 214 was measured in Delhi, India.

At an emergency telephone session of the Government of Sarajevo Canton yesterday, as we recall, the final episode - Alarm - was declared.

According to measurements, the air in the mountains is clean and healthy and is recommended daily. Measures during the Alarm episode will be implemented until further notice, i.e., until the first precipitation, which is not forecast for at least the next 48 hours.
