'Sarajevo-gas' East Sarajevo and 'Energoinvest' agreed on a three-year gas transportation contract with a price increase

(Patria) - At today's marathon meeting, the company 'Sarajevo - gas' East Sarajevo and 'Energoinvest' reached an agreement on a three-year contract for gas transportation, at a new price.

The information was confirmed to the N1 portal by the director of ‘Sarajevo-gas’, Nedeljko Elek.

“At the meeting, which lasted almost three hours, the new price was accepted, which is important from our side. It was also accepted that the contract be for three years,” he stated.

He added that their next obligation will be for the RS regulator or the RS Government to confirm the new price within the next six months. This refers to the previously proposed amount of 14.1 KM per 1,000 cubic meters of gas.

“We have undertaken to honor this part of the contract. Invoices will be issued at the new prices, and I think we unnecessarily entered this crisis. But, it is important that it has been resolved and that there are no problems with gas supply to Sarajevo,” Elek added.

Throughout the entire process, Elek particularly emphasizes his gratitude for the engagement of the relevant federal minister, Vedran Lakić.

Let us remind you, the gas transportation contract between the Sarajevo company ‘Energoinvest’ and the company ‘Sarajevogas’ East Sarajevo expired on December 31, 2023.

‘Sarajevo-gas’ justifies its request to increase the price from 11.1 to 14.1 KM by investing in the gas pipeline system.
