Sarajevo: Central Eid celebration at Begova Mosque

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first day of Eid al-Fitr is Friday, June 15, 2018. The central Eid celebration of the Islamic Community in BiH will be held at Begova Mosque in Sarajevo, where the Eid prayer will be led and the Eid sermon delivered by Reis-ul-Ulema Husein ef. Kavazović. The morning (Sabah) prayer will be performed at 04:30, after which a special Eid program will be held until the start of the Eid prayer. The Eid prayer will be performed at 05:41. The traditional Eid greeting will be held at the Office of the Reis-ul-Ulema from 09:30 to 12:00.

Regarding the central celebrations at the level of the muftiates of the Islamic Community in BiH, the muftiates have announced both the central Eid celebrations and accompanying activities.

Sarajevo Muftiate

The central Eid program of the Sarajevo Muftiate will be organized at Careva Mosque in Sarajevo. The Eid sermon will be delivered by the Mufti of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Enes ef. Ljevaković.

The morning prayer will be performed at 4:30, as in Begova Mosque, and the Eid prayer at 5:41.

Mostar Muftiate

According to the schedule of the Islamic Community in BiH, the first day of Eid al-Fitr is Friday, June 15, and the central Eid celebration in the area of the Mostar Muftiate will be held at the Osman-paša Resulbegović Mosque in Trebinje.

The Eid prayer will be led and the Eid sermon delivered by the Mufti of Mostar, Mr. Salem-ef. Dedović, and the time for the Eid prayer is 5:37.

The morning prayer will be performed at 4:27, after which a hafiz prayer will be recited and Hafiz Sadik-ef. Fazlagić, the chief imam of the Islamic Community Council Trebinje, will be promoted as a hafiz of the Holy Qur'an.

The traditional Eid reception of the Mufti of Mostar for guests will be held on the same day at the Student Hotel Mostar starting at 20:00.

Travnik Muftiate

The central Eid celebration for Eid al-Fitr 1439 AH in the area of the Travnik Muftiate will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, in the atrium of the Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa in Travnik.

The Eid prayer will be led and the Eid sermon delivered by the Mufti of Travnik, Dr. Ahmed-ef. Adilović. The time for the Eid prayer is 05:45.

A press conference on the occasion of presenting the program content of this year's "508th Days of Ajvatovica" will also be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the premises of the Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa in Travnik starting at 10:00.

The traditional Eid reception of the Mufti of Travnik for guests will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 11:00 in the atrium of the Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa in Travnik.

Tuzla Muftiate

The central Eid celebration for the area of the Tuzla Muftiate will be held at the King Abdullah Mosque in Tuzla on Friday, June 15, 2018.

The Eid prayer will be led and the sermon delivered by the Mufti of Tuzla, Vahid ef. Fazlović. The Eid prayer will be led and the sermon delivered by the Mufti of Tuzla, Vahid ef. Fazlović.

The morning prayer will be performed at 4:30, from which time the rest of the program begins.
