Sarajevo center of the world: Foreign languages echo in the streets, tourists flood the city

The capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, has been full of tourists since the morning hours, and foreign languages of tourists from all over the world echo in the streets, writes the Patria News Agency. The reason is the start of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF), which begins tonight. The Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board says that the capacities of catering facilities are almost full, and businessmen are rubbing their hands, especially since their shops and cafes will be open longer than usual.

It is noticeable that there are also a large number of tourists from the region in Sarajevo who say they came to the capital of BiH to enjoy films and good entertainment.

Ana Jurić from Zagreb arrived in Sarajevo with a group of friends, and this is her second time visiting the SFF.

- I was here last year and I definitely plan to come in the future. I feel wonderful and the fun is great – says Jurić.

Otherwise, businessmen have also prepared special arrangements and special prices during the SFF to attract customers. It is particularly lively in the Gazi Husrev-beg Bezistan, where several thousand tourists pass through daily, and souvenir shopping is a must.

Shop owners in the Bezistan are using every second to make good profits, because after the SFF ends, the number of customers drastically decreases.

There is also a large crowd in Baščaršija, and as tourist workers told us, new guests are expected in the coming days, writes Patria.
