(Patria) - The City of Sarajevo will not organize fireworks on New Year's Eve.
This was confirmed on social media by the mayor of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Benjamina Karić.
"We joined a large number of European cities that made the same decision, including Rome, Prague, Zagreb, Helsinki, Warsaw, and others.
The money that would have been allocated for fireworks will be paid to animal protection associations," Karić wrote.
