The public utility company „Rad“ is managing to cope with the snow that has covered Sarajevo, but citizens are also obliged to help, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).
Citizens who do not clear snow from their entrances can be fined from 10 to as much as 500 KM. Citizens living in private houses, or those living in apartment buildings, are obliged to clear the sidewalks in front of their entrances. Owners of private companies are also obliged to do this, and for non-compliance with these provisions they can be fined from 500 to 2,000 KM.
The obligations of citizens regarding snow clearing are defined by the Law on Municipal Cleanliness, writes Patria.
