Cooperation between Centar Municipality and the Association of War Invalids

The Chairman of the Centar Municipal Council Nedžad Ajnadžić received Elvis Sudar, president of the Association of War Paraplegic Invalids of Sarajevo Canton, at the Municipality on June 30, 2015. During the meeting, they discussed ways in which the Centar Municipality can assist this population, particularly through co-financing projects of the Association of War Invalids aimed at improving the living conditions and standards of their members, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Chairman Ajnadžić stated that the rebalancing of this year's municipal budget has been adopted, but a new one is also expected soon.

– If there is no budget rebalancing soon, we will seek another way to allocate funds for your projects. I have forwarded the request from the Association of War Invalids for cooperation with the Centar Municipality to Mayor Dževad Bećirević, who, like me, always shows great understanding and supports cooperation with associations that cherish the achievements of our defense-liberation struggle. We will also send your request to the Municipal Council Commission for Veterans' Affairs to see how else we can help – said Ajnadžić.

Elvis Sudar emphasized that the good cooperation between this association and the Chairman of the Centar Municipal Council dates back to the period when Ajnadžić served as the cantonal minister for veterans' affairs and always responded to the requests and needs of war invalids.

– Thanks to the understanding of Mayor Bećirević and Chairman Ajnadžić, the Centar Municipality has approved funds for, if technically feasible, the installation of an elevator in the residential building in Šip where ten war paraplegic invalids live, and we thank the ruling structures of the Centar Municipality for this support – said Sudar.
