Sanski Most: Director, Pedagogist, and Teacher Accused of Harassing Student Who Reported Bullying

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sanski Most confirmed the indictment against Azra Delalić (46), director of the Public Institution Elementary School "5. oktobar" in Sanski Most, and pedagogist Dževida Hasić (47) and teacher Asmira Delić (44), on suspicion of committing criminal offenses of negligent work in office and prevention and non-execution of measures for the protection of minors.

According to information from the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor's Office, Delalić is accused of ignoring reports of peer violence against a minor student of the school during the 2022 school year and the first half of 2023.

The indictment states that she did not take the necessary measures to stop the violence, which resulted in frequent incidents, damage to the student's mental health, and serious violation of his rights.

In addition, the accused Delalić, Hasić, and Delić are charged as co-perpetrators for inappropriate conduct towards the student.

According to the indictment, they allegedly took the student to the school library premises at least six times during classes, where they questioned him about the violence incidents.

They allegedly locked the library premises twice, and the interrogations lasted from one to one and a half hours, during which they yelled at the student, accused him of being the cause of problems with his peers, and threatened him with disciplinary measures such as reprimands and expulsion from school.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the accused allegedly told the student that he and his father were ruining the reputation of the school and the city, which caused him mental suffering of severe intensity.

The Prosecutor's Office plans to prove the validity of the indictment through witness testimonies, expert witnesses, and the presentation of material documentation.

A hearing is expected to be scheduled in the near future, where the accused will have the opportunity to plead guilty or not guilty.
