Flood aftermath recovery: Seven companies received 2.1 million KM

The FBiH Government adopted the Decision on giving prior consent to the Proposal of the Decision on allocating part of the funds determined in the FBiH Budget for 2014 to the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry under the item "Expenditures for financial assets - other domestic borrowing" (Favorable lending terms in flood-affected areas) in the amount of 2,120,000 convertible marks.

From these loan funds, based on submitted requests, 400,000 KM were approved to "Antesil" d.o.o. Visoko, 200,000 KM to "Doboj-putevi", 330,000 KM to "Em-Oniks" from Lukavac, 200,000 KM to "Hajdić" from Maglaj, 390,000 KM to "Širbegović inženjering" from Gračanica, 200,000 KM to "Škrebi" Doboj-Istok, and 400,000 KM to "Trend-Tex" Doboj-Jug.

These funds will, in accordance with the provisions of the Commission Business Agreement, be disbursed through Union Bank Sarajevo, which will conclude individual agreements with the beneficiaries.

Furthermore, the FBiH Government approved funds in the amount of 700,000 KM to the Sava River Basin Agency Sarajevo, which will be used for cleaning riverbeds. This amount will be used to finance the removal of sand, gravel, timber, various types of waste, and debris from riverbeds and to mitigate the negative consequences caused by floods. The Agency is tasked with submitting a report on the dedicated use of these funds to the FBiH Government within 120 days of the disbursement of these funds.

The funds approved are from the revolving funds of Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau, Frankfurt am Main (KfW), collected within the transaction account opened with the Central Bank of BiH - Extrabudgetary Deposit of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Collection of loan funds for the Kakanj Water Supply Project.

The justification for this decision stated that Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau, Frankfurt am Main (KfW) approved non-refundable funds to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the condition that they be placed with municipalities on a loan basis, and a Revolving Fund was established from the repayment of these funds. During the preparation of this decision, KfW gave its consent for the available funds of the Revolving Fund to be approved to the Agency, for the purpose of cleaning riverbeds and mitigating the negative consequences caused by floods.
