Reconstruction works on several road sections

(Patria) - According to collected data, traffic on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is unimpeded this morning, with the exception of sections where reconstruction works are underway and where traffic is regulated by traffic signals. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and avoid risky overtaking. We also ask other road users to respect traffic regulations.

On the main roads: Dobro Polje-Miljevina, Tuzla-Bijeljina, and Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons remains suspended.

Due to road surface reconstruction works, the A-1 highway section Kakanj-Lašva (3 km long) is closed, and vehicles are being directed in both directions on the opposite side of the highway.

On the A-1 highway sections Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica, and Bijača-Počitelj (Hercegovina bridge), traffic is redirected to the overtaking lane due to ongoing works.

Due to regular maintenance works, traffic will be slowed down today from 9 AM to 4 PM on the main road Kobiljača-Kiseljak.

On the main road M-5 border crossing Izačić-Bihać, works are underway on the reconstruction of the bridge over the Mrižnica stream. Vehicles are being redirected to a temporary bypass in the immediate vicinity of the works, with alternating passage.

At the border crossings, passenger vehicle waiting times are currently short. We remind you that the new border crossing Gradiška is temporarily open for traffic of all categories of motor vehicles.

Due to passenger registration under the new European Union entry/exit system (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays may occur at border crossings.

Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all heavy goods vehicles is prohibited at Šepak border crossing.
