FLOOD DAMAGE REHABILITATION: Who is on the team preparing the application for the EU Solidarity Fund, deadline for submission December 26

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina appointed on November 7 a Team for the preparation of the application for the European Union Solidarity Fund with the aim of timely submission of the application for the allocation of grant funds from the European Union Solidarity Fund for the purpose of remedying the consequences of floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The decision was published on November 15 in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Team includes: Niko Duvnjak, Cabinet of the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chair; Jelena Orašanin, Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, member; Sanja Jokić, Ministry of Finance of Bosnia and Herzegovina, member; Amra Fetahović, Directorate for Economic Planning, member; Angelina Pudar, Directorate for European Integration, member; Marijana Galić, Statistical Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, member; Boris Trninić, Republican Administration of Civil Protection of Republika Srpska (or a person authorized by them), member; Aldin Brašnjić, Federal Administration of Civil Protection (or a person authorized by them), member.

The task of the Team is to prepare a plan of activities related to the assessment of damages and the dynamics of completing the application, as well as communication with the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) of the European Commission regarding the preparation of the application, with the involvement of the Directorate for European Integration.

In accordance with the conclusion of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, number 05-07-1-2437-43/24 of October 30, 2024, the Team will hold regular coordination meetings, at least once a week, with representatives of the competent institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all municipal mayors and city mayors, the Prime Minister of the Central Bosnia Canton, and the President of the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, where regular validation of collected field data on damage assessment will be conducted.

The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Directorate for European Integration will, in accordance with their responsibilities for coordinating European Union assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, provide expert and technical assistance to the Team in the process of preparing the application.

Representatives of other institutions, as well as experts with relevant professional knowledge, may participate in the work of the Team as needed and upon invitation.

For the purpose of performing certain tasks related to the tasks from Article 3, paragraph (1) of this decision, the Team may form a subgroup.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, by a separate decision, determine compensation for the work of the Chair, members, and secretary of the Team after submitting a report to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within 60 days from the deadline for the execution of the task.

The deadline for submitting the application is December 26, 2024.
