Single father and three children live in a shack near Brčko

Vedad Čandić is giving his last strength, and feeding his three children is becoming increasingly difficult without the help of good people. This single father from Gornji Rahić near Brčko lives in a dilapidated shack. In addition, Čandić is in poor health. This family has been relying solely on the help of neighbors and friends for a long time, writes the Patria News Agency.

It is very cold in Čandić's shack during the winter, while during the summer the temperature rises high, after which the room becomes stuffy. The Čandićs need a safer home, food, and somewhat regular income more than anything else.

The neighbors of this unfortunate family are dissatisfied with the attitude of the local authorities in Brčko towards the Čandićs. The local portal Otisak writes that the authorities waste hundreds of thousands of KM annually, yet they do not want to help Čandić and his children. Representatives of Bosniak returnees in the Brčko District government have also not shown much interest in this case.
