ONLY LET THERE BE NO WAR Children from Sarajevo kindergartens and schools paid tribute to the murdered children of Sarajevo

(Patria) - The event "Only let there be no war" was held today at the Memorial to the Murdered Children of Sarajevo 92-95, on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the 1,601 murdered children of Sarajevo.

The president of the Association of Parents of Murdered Children, Fikret Grabovica, whose daughter Irma was killed during the siege, said that the crimes against the children of Sarajevo are the greatest wound of this city.

"Children were killed intentionally, planned and systematically. They believed that they would thus more easily destroy this city, kill the morale of the defenders. However, they were mistaken. This city was defended thanks to the bravery of the members of the Army of RBiH, the police, but also the citizens. We must not forget, the youth should carry this memory and this truth, not to hate or seek revenge, but for it to be a strong motivation for them to be good people and successful. But also a motivation to be very careful, to protect their homeland and their city in the best possible way," said Grabovica.

Children from the "PONNY" Preschool Institution performed the recital "Let Every Child Live Happily". After them, children from the Skenderija kindergarten performed the recital "Memories", and then the "Pčelica" kindergarten performed the recital "Mora".

High school students also participated in the event, performing a special dedication to the murdered children of Sarajevo "We were born in Bosnia".

Students of "Ćamil Sijarić" Elementary School performed the piece "Only let there be no war".
