G7 SUMMIT Minister Truss supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - UK Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss chaired the meeting of G7 foreign and development ministers, and the statement that was published also addressed Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

„We stressed the importance of supporting the European perspective, stability and security in the Western Balkans. We condemned all divisions and irresponsible rhetoric and activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and called for the continuation of dialogue and a renewed focus on a constructive agenda. We offered our firm support for the country's territorial integrity, sovereignty and unity.

Support was also given to the work of the EU Special Representative, the EUFOR Althea operation, as well as High Representative Christian Schmidt and the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo.

We called on Kosovo and Serbia to engage constructively in the EU-facilitated dialogue on the normalization of their relations and to make progress without further delay“, the statement reads.
