
(Patria) - At today's continuation of the constitutive session of the Sarajevo City Council, the President of the City Council and two deputies were elected.
Alen Girt from Our Party (from the Others category) was elected President, and Svetlana Šošić from SDP (from the Serbs category) and Emir Bićo from NIP (from the Bosniaks category) were elected deputies.
The session will continue with the election of members of the Election and Appointment Commission, and then the election of the Mayor and two Deputy Mayors.
The People and Justice Club nominated Samir Avdić for Mayor, and he was supported by 16 councilors.
Avdić was met with applause and stated that he accepts the mandate of Mayor.
Our Party nominated Mirela Džehverović from the Others category for Deputy Mayor.
SDP BiH nominated Predrag Puharić from the Serbs category for Deputy Mayor.
To the question of councilor Srđan Srdić whether there is any Croat in the leadership of the City Council or the City leadership, Girt stated that there is not.
After being elected to their positions, Avdić, Džehverović, and Pudarić took the solemn oath.
