Salkić in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska: It is evident that you have an agreement that some should 'disappear' from political life

(Patria) - National Assembly member Ramiz Salkić (SDS) addressed the National Assembly of Republika Srpska today, stating that two months ago he spoke about the situation with Milorad Dodik's verdict.

"Two months ago, on one hand, we heard that an acting president was needed, on the other hand, that he was not needed and that there was a president. Today we hear that there is no president, but also that there are no grounds for an acting president. Since the system is not ready for the president to be replaced by one of his deputies, finding a solution is crucial.

You who said that Dodik is still the president have misled the public. Today's decision is at least a formal recognition of the Court's and the Central Election Commission's decision, even though the Prime Minister says 'he is still the president for me'. It is evident that you have some agreement and that some people should 'disappear' from political life. You are doing that today, and that is good. The BiH Constitution is above the RS Constitution, and institutions must be respected sooner or later.

It would have been good if criminal acts had not occurred and if there had been no proceedings, but this was brought about by separatist policies aimed at creating problems in the country.

You are admitting today that the process has failed, and that is why we are here. More than a year ago, we said here that you were going down the wrong path. The BiH Constitutional Court also said so. I am convinced that you will not achieve your goal even after this session and the agreements you have both in BiH and outside BiH. You should stop the separatist policy and turn towards BiH," said Salkić.

The special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska began shortly after 12 p.m. today, and a multi-hour debate is underway regarding the appointment of an acting president of Republika Srpska. The ruling majority proposed Ana Trišić-Babić.
