Salkić: Genocide continues in RS National Assembly today

(Patria) - Ramiz Salkić, Vice-President of the BiH entity RS, stated that the behavior in the National Assembly of the BiH entity RS is the best example and embodiment of the situation and environment in which survivors and their descendants live in this entity.

Reacting to the behavior of MPs in the National Assembly of the BiH entity RS today, when at the beginning of the 12th regular session they paid tribute with a minute of silence to the convicted war criminal Momčilo Krajišnik, Salkić emphasized that such and similar things happen in the BiH entity RS due to the lack of a serious reaction from competent institutions, which should sanction such actions.

"Today's behavior in the National Assembly of RS is the best example and embodiment of the situation and environment in which survivors and their descendants live in this entity. The absence of catharsis, glorification of war criminals, denial of court verdicts, and humiliation of victims is a continuation of genocide and a constant threat to peace and stability. We have all of this today in this entity, we have the lack of a serious reaction from competent institutions to sanction these actions and change the situation. Deniers of crimes and those who glorify war criminals are encouraged by the inaction of institutions and go a step further each time.

After the RS National Assembly awarded the highest entity recognition to war criminal Krajišnik, today we witnessed his glorification through a minute of silence in an official institution, for a person convicted of the most serious war crimes. It remains to be seen what the reaction will be from those who convince us every day that we should solve the problems of our citizens with those who are on the political line of those who persecuted us in 1992. If these actions are not enough for the OHR to react, then the question remains what needs to happen for them, the OSCE, and others to understand what kind of people and system we are dealing with here," stated the reaction of the Vice-President of the BiH entity RS, Ramiz Salkić.
