(Patria) - A forum and book promotion "Genocidal Intent Bratunac 1992", by author and MP in the National Assembly of RS Ramiz Salkić, was held in Berlin.
In addition to the author, participants included Elvir-ef. Hodžić, Chief Imam of the Bratunac Mufti, and Admir-ef. Velić, President of the Bratunac Mufti.
In his address, Salkić called on those present to turn to their homes, our homeland, and to start voting in the municipalities they were expelled from, with the aim of eliminating the consequences of genocide and policies that glorify the perpetrators of genocide.
- The path of truth and seeking justice through the elimination of the consequences of genocide has no alternative. All those who care about truth, justice, victims, and our homeland should walk this path.
On the path of eliminating the consequences of genocide and affirming the truth, it is of immense importance to involve survivors and descendants of genocide victims, those who were expelled during the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and who now live all over the world, in the electoral processes in the municipalities they were expelled from.
Less than 10 percent of Bosniaks who lived in today's RS entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina before the aggression vote in the municipalities they were expelled from.
The consequence of such abstention is the separatist policy of the RS authorities on the foundations of discrimination they implement, because Bosniaks in RS do not have political power.
If Bosniaks voted in the municipalities they were forcibly expelled from, the government that denies genocide, glorifies war criminals, and advocates for the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina would be completely eliminated.
I call on you to turn to our homes, our homeland, and start voting in the municipalities you were expelled from, with the aim of eliminating the consequences of genocide and policies that glorify the perpetrators of genocide.
The strength and solution to the problem are in our hands; it is up to all of us to decide whether we will be passive and lament, or whether we will take matters into our own hands and, with the power of our vote, defeat those who are currently trying to realize wartime goals of dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina through peacetime methods.
The deadline for your registration to exercise your right to vote in the upcoming Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina is July 23.
I call on you to seize this opportunity and contribute to the path of eliminating the consequences of genocide and policies based on the ideas of convicted war criminals - Salkić stated.
