Salkić: By placing the Constitutional Court under control, Dodik and Čović would lead the country toward dissolution

The Vice President of the BiH entity RS, Ramiz Salkić, called on the authorities of this entity to carry out the transformation of the RS Constitutional Court and to distance the judiciary from the direct influence of politics.

From Salkić's cabinet, it was announced that in recent years the RS Constitutional Court has made decisions supporting institutional discrimination against the non-Serb population, giving legitimacy and legality to the majorization and outvoting carried out in the RS National Assembly and the Council of Peoples.

Vice President Salkić said that the RS Constitutional Court is one of the key culprits for the adopted practices of discrimination at all levels, which has produced mistrust and led to a deterioration of inter-ethnic relations, and deepened the radicalization of the policy of Serbian parties, which have found room to operate on the foundations of war ideologies.

- The RS Constitutional Court is under the direct control and influence of the RS Government and the entity's president.

Judges are elected on the proposal of the president without any consultations with the vice presidents from among Bosniaks and Croats. Thus, a reliable political cadre of the SNSD was installed at the head of the Constitutional Court, so that decisions would be controlled and politically dictated.

The RS Constitutional Court discriminates against the constituent peoples, Bosniaks and Croats, and Milorad Dodik takes the liberty of demanding the transformation of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. That is a message that he also wants to put this court under the control of politics. At the same time, he conditions the transformation of the court by blocking Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path.

It is clear to everyone that this is not about improving the quality of work of the BiH Constitutional Court, because we have an example of how Dodik controls the RS Constitutional Court. This is about the conscious and long-term devastation of the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the blockade of our country on the path to Europe. European principles are the creation of a democratic society, equal rights and opportunities for all, in which politics has no control over the judiciary. That is why the European path does not suit the RS authorities and Milorad Dodik, who violate human rights, carry out discrimination and want to keep everything under their control - said Salkić.

He pointed out that the Constitutional Court is currently operating under rules of procedure that are contrary to the Constitution and the Law on the RS Constitutional Court, thereby directly promoting and supporting discrimination against the non-Serb population.

- Dodik wants the principle of control and outvoting, proven in the case of the Central Election Commission (CIK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to be applied to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and, together with Čović, to make decisions by outvoting Bosniaks, as was shown in the work of the CIK on the issue of Stolac. By placing the Constitutional Court under control, the aim is to create an environment for the formation of a third entity and to lead Bosnia and Herzegovina toward dissolution. All pro-Bosnian forces must be united and do everything to stop the intentions of Dodik and Čović - believes Salkić, Patria reports.
