Salkić: RS MoI members clearly sided with those accused of attempting to overthrow the constitutional order

(Patria) - It is unrealistic to expect SNSD and United Srpska to change their policy and abandon the strategic goals defined through the "All-Serbian Assembly" Declaration due to the decision to suspend the financing of these parties, even if the decision is implemented.

This was stated today by the Vice-President of the SDA and MP in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Ramiz Salkić.

High Representative Christian Schmidt made a decision today to suspend all budget payments for the financing of the SNSD party, led by Milorad Dodik, and United Srpska, led by Nenad Stevandić.

"All funds whose payment is suspended will be transferred to a special account that will be opened at the Central Bank of BiH," Schmidt stated in his decision, which entered into force immediately.

Salkić believes that this decision aims to show that the High Representative is present and is doing something.

- The essential issue is the lack of reaction to the actions of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs and their opposition to the implementation of decisions by the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

Members of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs have clearly sided with those accused of attempting to overthrow the constitutional order.

Such conduct requires a reaction from the High Representative, as well as international armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with their mandate - Salkić points out.

Mild or no reactions will only further motivate and encourage separatist forces to continue working on realizing their plan, endangering peace.

- In addition to domestic institutions that have a constitutional and legal obligation to act, despite attempts at paralysis, EUFOR and the High Representative share the same responsibility for the newly created situation, which could further escalate due to an inadequate reaction - Salkić concluded.
