Salkić: Unpunished crimes are the most dangerous message to future generations

On the occasion of the acquittal verdict for Vojislav Šešelj at first instance, Ramiz Salkić, Vice President of the BiH entity RS, also reacted, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- The acquittal of Vojislav Šešelj is yet another confirmation that numerous crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s will remain unpunished. And unpunished crimes are the most dangerous message to future generations, a message that crime paid off, that it was harmlessly relativized and as such ceased to be a burden on civilization. And when crime ceases to burden us, it begins to become a new mode of social action. Every Hague verdict must respect the victims above all. I hope that the verdict for Vojislav Šešelj will, in the appeals process, still show piety towards the victims - said Salkić.
