Salkić: After 2006, the authorities in Republika Srpska embarked on a path of radicalization

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Not much attention was paid to what we were saying and the problems we were facing here. Now that we want to launch an initiative based on the Constitution and laws, dust has been raised, Ramiz Salkić, Vice-President of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, told N1, commenting on the SDA's announcement that they will initiate legal proceedings for the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to review the name of the RS entity.

 

 

 

"We believe and are convinced that those who discriminate against Bosniaks and Croats in this entity draw that discrimination from the very name of the entity, and that the entire feeling within the Serb body that this is a Serb space, a Serb entity, and that everyone else has no business here, stems from there," said Salkić.

"After 2006, the authorities in this entity embarked on a path of radicalization, developing a public sentiment that this entity is a second Serbian state in the Balkans, they started denying all activities that are Bosnian, of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, denying the Bosnian language, and even denying the name Bosniaks," said Salkić, emphasizing that Bosniaks had been expecting the Peace Implementation Council, the OHR, and the High Representative to react all along.
