Salkić: "Domovina" will decide whether to be part of the parliamentary majority in the RS

A meeting between Milorad Dodik, President of the RS, and the "Domovina" coalition has concluded in Banja Luka, with the topic being consultation regarding the mandate-holder of the RS Government, reports the Patria news agency.

As Ramiz Salkić from the "Domovina" coalition conveyed to us, Dodik expressed readiness, as far as he and the SNSD are concerned, for "Domovina" to be part of the parliamentary majority if it wishes.

- We stated that we seek solutions to the problems faced by Bosniaks and Croats in the RS, primarily the educational process, and that we are interested in being part of the parliamentary majority if there is readiness to seriously address these issues - says Salkić.

He adds that they received assurances that there is readiness to resolve these major problems.

- We will see in the coming period what will come of all this. It remains for us to continue talks. When the conversation with the mandate-holder of the RS Government comes, we will see whether we will be part of the parliamentary majority and whether our interest as "Domovina" can be fulfilled, namely ministerial positions in the RS Government, how many there are and which portfolios - added Salkić.

Given that this was a preliminary meeting, the "Domovina" coalition did not discuss the number of ministerial positions or portfolios.

- Now the SNSD will inform the Socialist Party and the DNS so that they can coordinate, as these are currently the parties that make up the parliamentary majority. We will see in the coming period how things will unfold - explained Salkić.

Also, the leaderships of the parties that make up the "Domovina" coalition will consider Dodik's offer and further see how, if they were to receive certain ministerial positions, the distribution would be carried out.
