(Patria) - Ramiz Salkić, a deputy in the National Assembly of RS, reacting to the statement of the president of the RS entity, Milorad Dodik, that "RS will not be unprepared, but will immediately declare independence without a single shot fired if the High Representative imposes a law on property", stated that Dodik issued an open, clear, and precise threat to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which requires an immediate reaction from the competent prosecutor's office and the High Representative.
"The admission that there is a clear plan to dismantle the Dayton Peace Agreement, the constitutional order, peace, and stability obliges the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to react ex officio, and the High Representative, as he is there to protect the implementation of the civilian part of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
In countries where the constitution is respected and where the rule of law functions, such statements and calls for the dismantling of the constitutional order would be immediately sanctioned and prosecuted for planning, inciting the dismantling of the constitutional order, and endangering the peace and security of citizens. It is high time for a decisive and courageous reaction from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Milorad Dodik as the generator of anti-constitutional activities, separatist intentions, and plans whose realization would endanger the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the peace, lives, and property of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
If Milorad Dodik takes these steps, and is not sanctioned beforehand, those who did not do what was their legal obligation, which is to prevent and punish the advocates of endangering peace and stability, namely the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the High Representative who acts as the High Representative for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity, responsible for fulfilling the wishes of HDZ, will be responsible to the citizens and history.
Those who relativize and trivialize the danger of Milorad Dodik's threats and plans to peace and stability are accomplices in this process; they are knowingly misleading citizens, thereby directly endangering them and their families. As long as we have elected officials in the name of the citizens of this country, primarily Bosniaks, who submissively remain silent on these threats, and a Prosecutor's Office that acts as if nothing is happening, individuals like Dodik can prepare and plan a return to a state of war, which would be the consequence of dismantling the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional order," said Salkić.
He further emphasizes that Dodik and his followers should be reminded again and again that no independence of the RS entity is possible without dismantling the Dayton Peace Agreement, which implies a return to the situation before the signing of the peace agreement, when the RS entity did not exist.
"The interest of all citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina is peace and stability, and above all, it is the interest of Bosnian Serbs, because with the Dayton Peace Agreement, they were rewarded with the organization of Bosnia and Herzegovina despite the severe crimes and genocide committed by the army and parts of the Bosnian Serb police under the leadership of convicted war criminals for committed genocide, Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić. Therefore, the separatist policy advocated and implemented by Milorad Dodik causes the greatest damage to Bosnian Serbs because history has confirmed on several occasions that everyone who tried to divide Bosnia and Herzegovina ultimately failed, and neither will Dodik and his separatist followers," said Salkić.
