Salkić: Library in Maglaj receives donations from all sides

The "Derviš Sušić" Library from Tuzla donated more than 1,000 books to the General Library in Maglaj yesterday, said the director of the Maglaj library, Nina Salkić, and in the coming period, they expect other donations, writes the BH news agency Patria (NAP).

- They brought us a valuable donation from Tuzla, all selected titles. We are pleased that numerous people from Tuzla responded to the collection campaign. We are expecting a shipment from Bihać, and about 500 books have been collected in Konjic - states Salkić.

A significant donation for the only library in the Municipality of Maglaj came from the company "Murex" from Srebrenik, which provided them with 400 square meters of ceramic tiles, given that the water had lifted all the parquet flooring in the library space.

- We are truly grateful for all the donations. We received all the materials, tile adhesive, and that solves many problems for us - states Salkić, adding that they need help with laying the tiles so they can finally start renovating the library.

- These are expensive works, and the library currently does not have the available funds to pay for them - says Salkić, who also took this opportunity to thank for all the donations and help that has arrived in Maglaj.

The total number of books received by the General Library is around 8,000, while 28,000 books were destroyed in the floods, writes Patria.
